Welcome! Meet Mrs. Haslam.

I am honored and excited to be your child's teacher to help them with math and reading during WIN time. WIN stands for "What I Need", and each student will work on what they need to improve upon.  My goal is to build a caring, challenging, and cooperative learning community in our classroom.

I have been a public-school educator for 32 years, and have taught kindergarten, bilingual kindergarten, third, and fourth grades. I have taught students with various learning styles, special needs, and family backgrounds. As an interventionist, I teach kindergarten through fifth grade.  I also have a master's degree in education with an emphasis in reading and language arts.

I am thankful to call Murfreesboro home. I enjoy my martial arts, running, hiking with my dog, paddle boarding, gardening, reading, writing poetry, and being a prayer team lead at my church. I am blessed to be part of the Christiana Elementary family!
