Welcome!
First thing you should know about me is that I have a service dog named Inca. She is a wonderful dog and we have been "partners in crime" since 2013. Inca is a beautiful Labrador/Golden Retriever cross. She was trained at The Seeing Eye, which is a guide dog school where visually impaired and blind people can go to get paired with a service dog. Inca and I met each other for the first time on June 26, 2013. We were a perfect fit right from the beginning! I worked with Inca and a trainer for 22 days, then Inca and I flew back home to Tennessee! We have been together ever since! :) Inca is a great addition to our classroom and your child will also be getting an experience many children and families will never have. We will talk all about what service dogs do for their handlers and how you should act when you see one out in action.
A little more about me, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always wanted to be a teacher and there is absolutely nothing else I would rather do in this world. I have a fairly big close-knit family with three brothers, one older and two younger. I grew up here in Christiana and actually went to Christiana Elementary School as a child! Again, I'm looking forward to a wonderful year and can't wait to meet your child!
