Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Mrs. Stuart, your new art teacher. I just moved here from Belgium. It's a small country between France and the Netherlands. It's also the capital of the European Union and NATO Headquarters. I lived there for 3 years working as a professional artist and instructor for the NATO Arts Center. In Belgium, they speak French and Dutch. I learned to speak a little French, however I also speak a little Italian. I used to live in Italy too. In fact, I've lived and visited lots of places....like Hawaii, New York, North Carolina, California, Virginia, Egypt, Thailand, and Vietnam.
This year in art, the kids will be discovering the art and culture of the 7 continents of the world called the Global Arts Program. I will also integrate Art and Literature so the students can experiments with all the art mediums, like drawing, painting, weaving, and clay.
I look forward to teaching each and every student this year. I can't wait to see their faces shine with pride as we discover the world together!
